One of the most popular games, Texas Hold’em Poker comes in three different forms: limit, pot-limit and no-limit. Each of the ten possible players is referred to as a dealer. The dealer’s position at the table is secured with a button, hence the slang term for the position, “baton”.

Bets at the table can be made “behind the scenes”, in which case players are called “blind”. The size of the bet depends on the table limit. Blind positions are also used – SB and BB (Small and Large). In all rounds the small blind goes first, and the batter goes last. The early position, in which the third player stands, is referred to as the “early position”. It is also said to be “under the gun” or “under the gun”. This is where the abbreviation UTG came from, leading to the jargonism “iron”.
